Received a call from Padre Nacho (Ignacio) Garza Garcia who told me that he is very pleased with the people who have shown such great love for others especially the youth who have visited recently. Padre Nacho said it is such a blessing to see young people come to the missions because the children respond best to other kids.
It is a beautiful site to behold. Watching kids come from the U.S., many of them shy themselves and a little frightened. Then the magic happens. Within in a few short minutes, friendships begin, smiles light up and laughter breaks the silence. Wow!
Kids are the same everywhere in the world. In all of our missions whether it be in Mexico, Guatemala, Uganda or Viet Nam. Children love to be loved, they love to sing, play, laugh and they love candy too. Kids also like to pray together and in prayer they have power.
There is nothing more beautiful than to see a group of kids from different cultures, speaking different languages, singing praise and giving Thanks to God -Joyfully -as One body.
So if all these wonderful kids can get along and be so happy together within minutes, there must be Hope for the World. There is of course - His name is Jesus!
Please pray for K2K missions and all those who help others through this outreach and please pray for Peace in our World - Prayer is power!
We here at K2K Mission Hope do pray for all of you daily in Morning Prayer and Rosary.
God bless you all - Hope you have a blessed day!

The "Little Mission Boat that DID!" "Quetzal"
The "Quetzal " is a 26' Falmouth Cutter Sailboat with only a 15Hp outboard motor that has sailed the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean for the last 18 years bringing medical and school supplies, clothes, shoes, food and lots of HOPE to the Q'eqchi Indians of Southeastern Guatemala through the K2K Outreach Mission Hope.
The Quetzal was build by Captain Norm and Maria Kaesberg for the purpose of doing just what she has done. God matched the Dream to the Dreamers and many wonderful things have happened to many people because He did.
The time has come to see the Quetzal begin a new life in Seattle with her new owner. This is one of the most difficult things to do for most people - letting go of something that has become so much a part of their lives. It is good. The bones ache and the energy level is much lower. New adventures await all of us who choose to serve the Lord in what ever ways we all can so there is much to look forward too.
The Captain wishes to thank all those who have been a part of the Sailing adventure with the Quetzal. Those who helped build her and those who helped crew. Thank you and God bless you, each and everyone.
Thank you to the "Quetzal" who always kept her crew safe. She brought many wonderful memories to treasure and will never be forgotten.
Thank you Lord for this grand adventure. Amen
